PET Material

PET material (polyethylene terephthalate) is a plastic material widely used in food packaging and daily necessities, with the following characteristics:

    Material characteristics

PET material boasts high transparency, resistance to oil, acids, and alkalis, and can withstand both low temperatures (-70°C) and high temperatures (up to 150°C for short periods). It also exhibits excellent barrier properties (gas, water, and oil resistance) and anti-friction properties. With its smooth surface and non-toxic nature, it meets food-grade safety standards and is commonly used in packaging materials such as mineral water bottles, beverage bottles, and plastic wrap.

    Precautions for use

    1. Avoid high-temperature environments: PET material has limited heat resistance, and prolonged exposure to temperatures above 70°C may lead to deformation or migration of harmful substances.

    2. Avoid repeated use: Repeated use or using the same container for different types of liquids (such as acidic substances) may accelerate material aging and increase the risk of harmful substance release.

    3. Aging risk: Plastic bottles have a limited service life. They should be replaced promptly when they exceed their shelf life or become damaged.

    application area

In addition to the packaging field, PET material is also used in non-food-grade applications such as fiber manufacturing (e.g., polyester staple fibers), electronic components, and medical devices.
