Polychlorotrifluoroethylene Material

Polychlorotrifluoroethylene Material

Polychlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE) is a thermoplastic fluoroplastic polymerized from chlorotrifluoroethylene, possessing the following characteristics:

    physical property

    • Density: The density of the solid is 2.1~2.2g/cm³.

    • Melting point: 208~210℃.

    • Temperature resistance range: Long-term usage temperature can reach 155℃, and it can withstand higher temperatures in the short term.

    • Hardness and Strength: Its mechanical strength and hardness surpass that of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), while also boasting transparency and low air permeability.

    chemical PROPERTIES

    • Corrosion resistance: It exhibits good acid and alkali resistance, but is slightly inferior to PTFE and PFA. It is not resistant to molten caustic alkali and elemental fluorine.

    • Gas barrier property: Extremely low water vapor transmission rate, suitable for vacuum sealing scenarios.

    application area

    • Semiconductor manufacturing: used for etching optical components and components resistant to low temperature environments.

    • Anti-corrosion materials: used as equipment lining, structural materials, and vacuum sealing components.

    • Electrical insulation: suitable for motor instrument parts, wire and cable insulation layers.

    • Refrigeration accessories: valve components and pipe seals used in low temperature environments.

As of May 2025, the thickness of plates covers a range from 6mm to 30mm, while the diameter of bars can reach up to 100mm, offering a diverse range of specifications.
